The rules of Fortitude are relatively simple.
You will be awarded an event medal and coloured finishers shirt based on your ability to complete 10 laps of our roughly 3mile, 4mile or 5mile loops in the given time.
You can change down distance at any time based on how the day is going but you must complete all 10 laps and return to the race village within each hour. Failure to complete a lap and return to the start within the hour will mean you can’t progress onto the next hour.
Your finishing grade is determined by your shortest lap of the 10 – not total mileage.
The Blue lap is a fantastic starting point because as long as you dig deep, get your mindset and keep moving you can complete the event by either walking or running.
The Black course provides a tough challenge for even the hardest of ultra runners as well as membership of the black t-shirt club.
THE COURSE
New venue same brutal challenge, this course takes in nearly 700ft or 215m of elevation on each 5 mile lap, with progressively less on the blue and red laps. For those who already know Pippingford Denbie’s presents a similar physical challenge with the added temptation of running around a Vineyard.

FAQ
Due to restrictions at the venue we are unable to offer camping at the venue but plenty of accommodation including camping is available in the local area.
Yes absolutely the course is designed such that you can change down distance at any time, as long as its not less than the 3 mile blue course.
Your finishers award will be based on your shortest lap throughout the 10 hours.
